hey there, friends and lovers, fellow adventurers, wanderers, traveling souls, all of you who have bachelor's degrees, how'd you do it? how did you resist the call of the wild and stay committed to school? i'm completely pummeled over with wanderlust. i need adventure like i need friendship, life is just not entirely fulfilled without it, no matter how good everything else is. i just read this post and the sea turtles part just knocked me over and then i deliberately try to avoid this blog because every single post makes my eyeballs pop out of my head. ugh. #college #travel #getmeouttaheeya

i have to take a mountain drive pretty often to keep me from going insane. also, spring couldn't get here soon enough. however, this february hasn't been half bad! it's legit been raining most days (as in not snow). pretty neat.

the absolute need in me to travel is at an all-time peak high. i suspect it is only going to climb higher and higher in the coming year of utah-bound college life. a year is nothing in the whole big picture but for now it seems slightly unbearable.

i'm passionate about the human experience. my mom and i were having one of our philosophical, spiritual, love and pain, purpose-of-life conversations yesterday (i treasure these) and as i was describing how i think it's not only okay but important to live a little, go out on a limb, be a little bit rebellious as long as it's not destructive to other people, she said, "right! it's all part of the whole human experience!" and something inside me zinged! the human experience! that dream inside each of us that begs us to LIVE and FEEL, that's at the center of the human experience and i don't want to die wondering if i was good enough. i want to die knowing that i felt it all, gave it all, lived it all.
