our prime grocery shopping hours are anywhere between 10pm and midnight. it's weirdly a favorite time of mine. the stress of the day is behind us and it's just time for moon walking and junk food purchasing. tonight we swung by for chocolate and chapstick but of course had to make our usual rounds just in case.

i love that you photographed a trip to the grocery store. such a normal everyday thing, but when you photograph it suddenly there is so much meaning and happiness in it!

Have you noticed how you can determine almost everything about how a city works and the kind of people that live there and what the economic situation is like and how friendly the town is or how boring a city is or how many up-tight yuppies there are or how many out-right batshiz crazy people there are or how many hippies looking to make friends with girls who wear galaxy/space leggings there are by an area's grocery store?

Compare Harmon's at City Creek to Walmart on 13th south. HAH!

This summer I've spent more time in grocery stores on breaks than most places and I've loved it. There's a lot of great food to look at and eat and even more people to oggle.
