it's not just sunshine that i need. it's big, green leaves and the color orange and THE SMELL--that summer smell. it's a little bit fresh cut grass, a little bit sweat, and a little bit humectant tulips. it's the feeling you have when your eyes open first thing in the morning and you know that it's summer outside, not winter. that t-shirts will be worn, not coats, and sandals, not boots. it's that you can walk around outside at night and don't have to shiver or feel sad. summer is happiness.
yesterday i thought, wow, march will be here before we know it! this winter hasn't been bad at all! but i was forgetting about how i can handle winter during the holidays. and today is january third. and who am i kidding, march will not be here before we know it. we still have around 90 days of full on winter. someone kidnap and take me to somewhere on the earth where it is summer. please.
