here's the wedding video i made for ayley and adam's reception. the ceremony was incredibly beautiful so you'll have to look out for their official wedding video from their videographer who got all that and more. as i was editing the film i was wishing i had final cut pro and after effects and way better video equipment. but a dslr and imovie will have to do for this poor college student.

like christmas in july. ayley and adam were married yesterday. everything was perfect down to the intricate details of the handmade flowers. and now those lucky SOB's are on their way to cabo san lucas for a week (not jealous). and i just now realized that their half anniversary is christmas day so yes, perfect is the correct word.

there were moments during their dance party where i truly could not peel the smile off my face. the music, the aesthetics, and the people added up to an incredible celebration of love. the thing about ayley and adam is that they surround themselves only with exceptional people and i feel lucky that they consider me their friend.

the ceremony in the morning was so incredibly gorgeous and packed to the brim with emotion, i wanted to shoot the whole thing. but i was in the wedding so i couldn't. BUT, ayley had an awesome videographer who got it all. i did take some videos at her reception that i will share soon. and it's a major upgrade from the crappy videos i've thrown together for other friends via my iphone because i was actually using my DSLR. so there's your improvement.

i just got home from ayley's bachelorette party and a sleepy, blurry drive home. sounds scary, but it wasn't. fear is interesting. it's all in your head. don't let it win. you are capable of letting love and peace win. peace like a buddhist monk.

i was drunk like drunken noodles or drunken candy, you know, i wasn't actually drunk. not having anything to do with alcohol. with this blog post i wish to redefine the word drunk to also include drunk like a fool in love. not just romantically, but in love with all the splashes of goodness in their life. tonight i was drunk on the girlies at the party, who were lovely. i was feeling drunk on my husband, who talked to me between the hotel and walking to my car. i was drunk on the music coming from my car's speakers, every song is relevant in some way. i was drunk on living life, it's silver lining is worth it all. and i was especially drunk on salt lake city's summer air. but mostly i think i was just exceptionally tired, haha.

the party was happy and easy going and lovely as ayley. ayley is one person i am so grateful to know. she's a gem. also, she's every bit as enchanting and delightful in real life as she is on her blog and more.

the take-home value of today: put yourself out there. it's usually worth it. and i'll take usually.
